Position Description
- To follow the directions of the Warehouse Team Leader(s) and / or Supervisor.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift to load up to 6 tonnes, to move or transport stock within the warehouse and production areas
- Ability to safely operate Pick Orders using an Order picking forklift
- Unload Shipping containers using a forklift
- Manually pick parts and load trolleys / or pallets for transport to production.
- Use a hoist/ crane to move heavy items.
- To transport picked stock to the Production facility using tow buggies/ forklifts etc.
- Operate a computer to check orders, stock availability, missing parts etc
- Ability to ensure housekeeping (5S) procedures are always followed
- Ability to always work in a Quality conscious manner including carrying out Quality Checks and appropriate Quality System sign off
- Ability to follow the designated build instructions to achieve product quality
- Ability to work in a safe way, ensuring personal safety & that of fellow workers
- A Store person may also take on additional voluntary roles within the team e.g Team Safety Volunteer, Team Quality Representative etc.
About You:
- Current licence as per job role allocation (LF and LO), submit copy of Licence with application.
- Basic numeracy/Literacy skills
- Basic computer skills and or a willingness to learn
- Able to perform manual work (Fitness for work)
- Able to use hand and power tools or a willingness to learn
