PRIVATE EQUITY FUND ACCOUNTANT (M/F)

Our client, a deeply established venture capital firm in Europe, is extending its activity and presence in Luxembourg and is looking for a fund accountant who will be in charge of the accounting and administration of non-regulated entities based in Luxembourg.

THE ROLE:

  • Prepare bank reconciliations whilst providing supporting documentation evidencing transactions
  • Complete bookkeeping tasks for a range of different vehicles (General Partner, Carry Funds, Co-Invest Funds, Main Funds)
  • Prepare waterfall models
  • Prepare Capital Account Statements
  • Prepare Capital Events notices
  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements
  • Prepare invoices with regards to recharges
  • Perform call backs, prepare payments and follow-up with suppliers when needed
  • Be responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of periodic tax and VAT returns
  • Be responsible for audit queries, when needed
  • Keep registers up to date
  • Eager to learn and perform non-accounting tasks, including corporate secretarial services

This list is not exhaustive and could be amended depending on the candidate’ capabilities and experience.

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Based in Luxembourg (the office is near the train station)
  • 2 to 3 years of fund accounting within a central administrator or an in-house role, in the Private Equity and/or Venture Capital sector
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/finance
  • Keen to develop your knowledge and expertise
  • Any certification is an advantage (ACCA, FCCA, CPA, etc..)
  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Believing in values such as solidarity and team-spirit
  • Aptitudes and skills: autonomy, intellectual integrity, discretion, ability to understand and think “out-of-the-box, hands-on
  • A strong, respectful team-player with ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Eager to develop skills and work on other workstreams non-accounting related

THE CLIENT:
Our client is a leading European venture capital firm in life sciences, specializing in healthcare and sustainability.

At the final stages of the recruitment process, the successful candidate can be asked to provide supporting documentation such as, for example, copies of diplomas or proof of previous jobs, and a standard criminal record check might also be requested.
